To register for a class, simply click on the Workshops page and select from the various Baking, Cooking and other Services that we offer.

What should I wear to class?

We recommend that you wear closed toe shoes with slip resistant soles for your own safety. L’Academie will not be responsible if you get hurt or slip and fall because of Non Compliance to the above recommended foot wear.

Shorts and loose clothing are not recommended in the kitchen primarily for safety reasons and have long hair tied back.

Will I be provided with an Apron or Jacket to wear?

L’Academie will provide an Apron for each participant and you can purchase a Chef Jacket for $40 with your name and the L’Academie Logo embroidered on it.

What is your cancellation/refund policy?

Since we need to prepare in advance of every class, we are unable to provide refunds once a class/program is booked. You may receive a credit toward another class if we are notified at least 72 hours prior to the start date/time of your class.

You may send someone in your place to attend the class that you’ve purchased, we request that you notify us of that change at least 24 hour prior to start of class.

L’Academie LLC reserves the right to cancel a class or program. Registrants will be notified by email and/or phone as far in advance as possible and will issue a credit or refund if desired.

What if I have a food Allergy?

L’Academie cannot be responsible for allergies, food or other sensitivities that may be unique to an individual’s medical condition. Please note our kitchen is not a gluten-free environment and may contain nut products and other potential allergens.

Our recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc.

Is there any age restriction to any of the classes?

Most of the 2-3 hour workshops have age restrictions of 14 and older.

Students under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a paying adult, the class price is per person.

The Cooking workshops have an age restriction of 18 and above.

The Multi Week Pastry Program and Multi Week Bread Program also have an age restriction of 14 and older.

Students under the age of 14 for the pastry workshops or 18 for the Cooking workshops must be accompanied by a paying adult, the class price is per person.

Can I take the food I prepared in the class home with me?

You may take the food you prepared home with you in your own “Take Out” container. L’academie does not provide take out containers and is not responsible for any type of food borne illness resulting from improper handling/storing of food once the food leaves the premises. We can provide a take out Container for $1

What is the format of a typical class?

The format for most of our workshops is Chef Demonstartion followed by student participation and production. During the time of the student production, you will be standing by your table side and making the items that the Chef demonstrated.

The Chef will do a tasting session time permitting and answer any questions you make have.

At the end of the class session, you can take your product home with you. Please review the “Can I take the food I prepared in class home with me” above for questions regarding that.

What should I bring to the class with me?

L’Academie provides all of the necessary food items, recipes and tools to conduct the class, simply bring yourself and your willingness to have fun and learn.

What if I cannot attend a class that I have already paid for and I have passed the 72 hour notification deadline for a credit towards another class?

You may send someone in your place to attend the class that you’ve purchased, we request that you notify us of that change at least 24 hours prior to the class start time.

What is your COVID-19 Policy?

L’Academie will follow guidelines as outlined by the State of AZ to the best of our ability. Hand washing and sanitizing is required by every participant prior to start of the class and recommended during the class. We will make every effort to sanitize all work surfaces as well as door handles and any other smooth surfaces prior to the start of the class. Our employees will be required to wear masks at all times during the class. We request that you do not register for a class if you have been diagnosed/exposed to COVID-19 within 14 days of the start of the class. L’Academie LLC is not legally responsible in any way or form if you feel that you have contracted COVID-19 by attending one of our services. We recommend that you bring your own mask and/or gloves, wearing a mask is optional. L’Academie may not have the ability to provide masks. If you do not have a mask and would like to wear one, you can purchase one from us for $2 prior or upon entering the premises.
